Volunteers Needed at Braves Country 5K on Saturday, June 2

Who: Boy Scout and Venturing Youth (ages 12-20) as well as Adult Leaders and Parents

What: As part of a new partnership with the Atlanta Track Club, BSA members will be volunteering during some local running races, including the iconic Peachtree Road Race (PRR) on July 4.  As a warmup for volunteering at PRR, we'll be staffing a water stop at the Braves Country 5K on June 2.

When: 6:15 - 8:30 AM on Saturday, June 2

Where: Park at the VSC or in the red deck and meet nearby as directed by our crew chief.

Why:  Earn service hours for rank advancement, get a free ticket to an upcoming Braves home game and a free volunteer t-shirt (to wear later - scouts and leaders will stay in Field Uniform (Class A) at the event)!  Also, as scouts we promise to keep ourselves physically strong. Seeing the runners of all ages and sizes will be an inspiration to us all to include more running in our fitness routines.

Uniform: Wear the full Field Uniform (Class A).  We are representing BSA and marketing scouting (you may even be in photos and on social media)!

How do we sign up?:   Registration is individual, so repeat this process for each individual you are registering.  Simply click on the link below

Braves Country 5K Volunteer Registration:  http://atlantatrackclub.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?start_over&id=27876

In the “password” box, enter “boyscouts” (all one word, not case sensitive). That opens the volunteer registration form for the Boy Scout group volunteers (Youth 12+, Leaders, and Parents can all register in this one group, event though it says 16+).  We will all be serving together in one location, most likely a water stop.
