McFarlane Nature Park will, on Sunday, September 17th, host a garden tour to benefit the park. The Park will be on display, along with the farmhouse itself, as will be four other nearby gardens. The event will take place from 12 Noon to 5 PM. Park staff are currently working on details such as the website, and we will provide further details when available.
The park staff is asking Eagle Scouts who completed their Eagle Projects at McFarlane to come back and make presentations. They are also interested in securing the help of Scout volunteers to come out on that day and be present at each of the locations to lend a hand to visitors who might need a hand along pathways, stairs and trails.
Scouts and adults who are interested should call 678-362-8602 or email christina.engberg [at] gmail.com. A number of unit and district activities are held at the park each year, so this is an opportunity for those who make use of the facility to show their support for the park.
