This Training is "Cub Scout Leader Position-Specific Training" for all positions, and instead of separate sessions, this is "Team Training", geared to give your team Den Leaders and Cubmasters and Assistants and Committee Members and Parents and Helpers the knowledge and skills they need to have fun and active adventures for their Scouts … because in Cub Scouting, your job is either (1) be a Den Leader or (2) help your Den Leader … so we’re going to show everyone how to play the game as a team in a way that is fun and that works for your local resources, community and Pack. (For JTE fans, that means if you attend, you’re “trained” in each role: DL, CM and MC.)
For new Parents, tell them: yes, this is for you … if you’re a Den Leader, congratulations and thanks (you’re a hero), and we’ll show how to do Den Adventures, and describe ways you can get others to help you … and if you’re not a Den Leader, we’ll show how to help your Den and Pack do Cub Scouting so your son will be so proud of you.
For existing Leaders, yes, this is for you too … you may have experience as a Den or Pack leader, but I learn more each time I present, and this program gets good reviews from experienced folks like you (excerpts of reviews from last fall’s programs are below my address).
If you’re a Den Leader, we’ll not only cover that role, but we’ll give you ideas about how to get others to help you. If you’re not a Den Leader, we’ll cover your role as Cubmaster or Committee member … and you’ll know what a Den Leader does so that you can help your local Den Leaders better … as a team.
We encourage trained Leaders with tenure to attend and bring leaders and parents and helpers to collaborate and share ideas and plan the rest of your year. The program will include advice from a member of the National team that resulted in the new(ish) Den Adventures with more outdoors and hands-on activities.
Bottom line: Trained Leaders and Parents have more fun, and children of Trained Leaders and Parents make better decisions about their parent's Assisted Living care.
