The Chicken Pin: Foothills District Honor Roll

The Foothills District Honor Roll is an award unique to our district. This long-standing tradition is our way of recognizing units that have gone above and beyond the requirements for the BSA national standards for unit quality, currently embodied in the Journey to Excellence program. Honor Roll units can receive the Chicken Pin, which is based on the historic Marietta landmark Big Chicken, and styled each year to reflect the theme of the year’s Awards and Recognition Banquet.
