Monthly Commissioners meetings are held at 7:30 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints located at 3147 Trickum Rd. on the left just off Sandy Plains Rd. (See map)
Monthly meeting of the Foothills District Committee. Operating committee meetings for Membership, Finance, Program, Advancement & Recognition, and Administration. All adult leaders are welcome to attend and become members of the district committee. Members at large are voting members. District Committee member at large is a registered position (no additional fee if you are already registered as an adult Scouter).
Meetings are held at Roswell Street Baptist Church, 7:30 pm, first Thursday of every month.
What: OA Tapout Ceremony
This ceremony is to recognize those scouts selected by their peers as best exemplifying the ideals of Scouting for the honor of membership and service in the Order of the Arrow.
When: Saturday, April 9, 2011
Time: 7:30pm - 9:00pm
For: Boy Scouts and their families, and OA Members
Location: at Mill Springs Academy, 13660 New Providence Road, Alpharetta, GA.
Park in the parking lot, and walk to the campfire.
Targeted for Scout Leaders, Cub Leaders, Venturing Leaders or anyone interested in learning more about all things Scouting in our district. This informative meeting is held on the second Thursday of each month at Roswell Street Baptist Church. Scouts, Cubs, and Venturers open the meeting together, adjourn to separate meetings and breakouts, and reconviene for closing. More information and subject matter can be found in the Chicken Sheet.

Held on the third Thursday of every month at the Mt. Paran Church of God. By appointment only. Before a Board of Review can be held the Scout's Eagle application must be certified by the Atlanta Area Council. To reserve a spot, email eagleboards [at] foothillsbsa [dot] org.

What: Order of the Arrow Chapter Meeting / Opportunities

1) Review the April 9 OA Tapout and the Section SR-9 Conclave at Camp Thunder.
2) Start planning to lead the Fall Camporall for Foothills District. How can we make this a fun event that people will remember?
Participant Qualifications
* Must be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America.
* Must have completed This Is Scouting and the Position Specific Training (for your position) prior to attending Powder Horn course.
* Be able to meet physical requirements of BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (A, B, C) in a backcountry environment.
New this Year
Powder Horn 2011 will include as participants a coed Venturing Crew, maximum of 8 youth. Youth participants must be registered with the Boy Scouts of America and be members of a Venturing Crew.
